Motorbike Rental Prices in Phu Quoc — 2025-2026 Season

Transparent pricing with absolutely no hidden fees. Every rate below includes two helmets, one liter of fuel, a raincoat, a phone holder, free island-wide delivery and pickup, and unlimited 24/7 roadside support.

Understanding motorbike rental costs on Phu Quoc is straightforward when you rent from GoBike. Unlike some operators who advertise a low base price and then add charges for helmets, delivery, fuel, or insurance at the end, our published prices are all-inclusive. The number you see on this page is the exact amount you pay — nothing more. We accept payment in Vietnamese Dong (VND), US Dollars (USD), and bank transfer. All payments are made in cash upon delivery of the bike — no advance deposits, no credit card holds, no pre-authorization fees.

Phu Quoc motorbike rental prices are relatively stable throughout the year, though availability of popular models like the Honda Vision can be limited during the peak tourist season from December through February. We recommend booking at least two to three days in advance during these months to guarantee your preferred model. During the quieter shoulder seasons from March through June and September through November, same-day bookings are almost always available.

What is Included in Every Rental Price

No hidden fees, no surprises at checkout. Every single item below is included at no extra cost with every rental, regardless of which model you choose or how long you rent.

2 Quality Helmets

Properly fitted half-face protective helmets for both the driver and passenger. We carry multiple sizes and fit them to your head upon delivery. These are real safety helmets, not the thin decorative caps sold at some budget shops. Helmet quality is one of the most common compliments in our customer reviews.

1 Liter of Fuel

Your bike arrives with a pre-filled tank ready to ride immediately. One liter is enough for approximately 55-75 kilometers of riding depending on the model. Fuel on Phu Quoc costs around 25,000 VND ($1) per liter at official gas stations. A full tank on the Vision costs about 115,000 VND and lasts over 250 km.

Raincoat

A lightweight, compact poncho-style raincoat that fits over your clothes and backpack. Phu Quoc experiences tropical rain showers year-round — they are usually short (15-30 minutes) but intense. Having a raincoat means you can either ride through light rain safely or pull over and stay dry while waiting for it to pass.

Phone Holder Mount

A handlebar-mounted universal phone holder so you can use Google Maps for navigation without taking your hands off the controls. This is essential on Phu Quoc where some roads lack signage. We recommend downloading offline maps before riding to areas with spotty cell coverage like the northern tip.

Free Island-Wide Delivery

Delivery to any address on Phu Quoc — airport terminal, hotel lobby, restaurant, beach, or private villa. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no minimum rental duration and no extra charge for night deliveries. Pickup upon return is equally free from any location you choose.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

If anything goes wrong mechanically — flat tire, dead battery, engine issue, broken mirror — call us day or night and our mechanic arrives within 30-60 minutes anywhere on the island. Repairs for mechanical faults are free. If the bike cannot be fixed on the spot, we deliver a free replacement so your trip is never interrupted.

Basic Liability Insurance

Every bike carries Vietnamese mandatory third-party liability insurance, which covers damage to other people and property in the event of an accident you cause. This is included at no extra cost. Note: personal injury coverage for the rider requires separate travel medical insurance, which we strongly recommend purchasing before your trip (typically $1-3 per day).

Zero Deposit Policy

We never ask for a cash deposit, credit card hold, or any form of financial collateral. We also never keep your original passport. The only thing we require is a quick photo of your passport's first page, taken on our phone, which is stored securely during the rental and permanently deleted upon return. Your passport stays with you at all times.

Long-term Rental Discounts

The longer you rent, the less you pay per day. Discounts are applied automatically — no coupon codes needed.

-10%

Weekly Discount

Rent for 7 or more days and save 10% off the daily rate. For example, a Honda Vision for one week costs 900,000 VND instead of 1,050,000 VND — saving you 150,000 VND ($6). This discount applies to all seven models in our fleet.

-20%

Monthly Discount

Rent for 30 or more days and save 20% off the daily rate. A Honda Vision for a full month costs just 2,500,000 VND (~$100) — that is only $3.33 per day. Popular with digital nomads, remote workers, and winter escapees staying on Phu Quoc for extended periods.

-30%

3+ Month Discount

Our best rate for truly long-term stays. Rent for three months or longer and save 30%. A Honda Vision drops to just 2,000,000 VND per month (~$80, or $2.67/day). A Honda Wave for three months costs only 1,400,000 VND/month (~$56, or $1.87/day). Ideal for expats, retirees, and seasonal residents.

How Motorbike Rental Compares to Other Transport

Renting a motorbike on Phu Quoc is not only the most convenient way to explore the island — it is also dramatically cheaper than every alternative transport option available.

Transport MethodCost per DayFreedom LevelAvailability
Motorbike rental (GoBike)$4-$10/dayComplete freedom24/7, delivered to you
Grab car (ride-hailing)$15-40/day (3-4 trips)Trip-by-tripLimited outside Duong Dong
Hotel taxi$30-60/day (2-3 trips)Very limitedMust arrange each time
Tour bus/minivan$15-25/tourFixed itineraryScheduled departures only
Car rental (self-drive)$40-80/dayHigh but bulkyLimited availability
Bicycle rental$3-5/dayShort distances onlyExhausting in tropical heat

Consider this: a single taxi ride from the airport to Duong Dong costs approximately 150,000-200,000 VND — almost the same as an entire day of motorbike rental. Over a one-week stay, a motorbike saves you anywhere from $50 to $200 compared to using taxis, while giving you the freedom to stop anywhere, explore hidden beaches, and discover secret local restaurants that no tour bus will ever take you to.

Accepted Payment Methods

We keep payment simple — pay upon delivery of your bike, no advance booking fee required.

Cash — Vietnamese Dong (VND)

The most common payment method. ATMs are widely available in Duong Dong and at the airport. We accept any denomination. Most tourists find it convenient to withdraw VND upon arrival at the airport ATM.

Cash — US Dollars (USD)

We accept US Dollars at the current market exchange rate (approximately 25,000 VND per $1 USD). Convenient if you arrive with dollars and have not yet exchanged. We provide change in VND if needed.

Bank Transfer

Transfer to our Vietnamese bank account. Useful for monthly or long-term rentals. We provide bank details via WhatsApp after booking confirmation. Transfer can be made from any Vietnamese or international bank.

Seasonal Considerations

Our published prices remain the same year-round — we do not increase rates during peak season. However, the availability of popular models changes significantly between seasons, and planning ahead can save you both money and hassle.

Peak Season (December - February)

This is when Phu Quoc sees the highest tourist numbers, with visitors escaping northern hemisphere winters. The Honda Vision and AirBlade often sell out completely during Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year (Tet) periods. We strongly recommend booking at least 3-7 days in advance during these months. The weather is perfect — dry, sunny, and warm — making it the ideal time for motorbike exploration.

Shoulder & Low Season (March - November)

During these months, same-day bookings are almost always available for any model. The rainy season (July-September) brings brief daily showers, but the island is less crowded and equally beautiful. This is the best time for long-term rentals — many digital nomads and winter escapees from Russia, Europe, and Australia rent for one to three months during these periods, benefiting from our 20-30% long-term discounts.

Pricing Questions & Answers

Absolutely not. The price listed on this page is the total amount you pay. It includes the bike, two helmets, one liter of fuel, a raincoat, a phone holder, free delivery and pickup anywhere on Phu Quoc, and unlimited 24/7 roadside assistance. There are no insurance surcharges, cleaning fees, administrative costs, processing charges, fuel deposits, or any other add-on fees. We are proud of our transparent pricing, and it is one of the main reasons we maintain a 4.9 out of 5 star rating from over 300 customers.

No. We never require a cash deposit, credit card authorization, or any financial collateral. The only requirement is a photo of your passport's first page, which we take on our phone at delivery. Your original passport remains with you at all times. The photo is stored securely during the rental period and permanently deleted when you return the bike. This trust-based policy sets us apart from many other rental operators on Phu Quoc who may ask for deposits of $50-$200 or even hold your physical passport.

Yes, we accept both Vietnamese Dong (VND) and US Dollars (USD) in cash. We convert at the current market exchange rate, which is approximately 25,000 VND per $1 USD. If your payment in dollars results in a fractional amount, we provide change in Vietnamese Dong. For longer rentals, we also accept bank transfers to our Vietnamese bank account — we will share the details via WhatsApp after your booking is confirmed.

No, our prices are consistent throughout the entire year. Whether you rent in the busy December-February peak season or the quieter July-September low season, you pay the same published rate. The only difference during peak season is availability — popular models like the Honda Vision and AirBlade may be fully booked, so we recommend reserving at least 3-7 days in advance during December, January, and February.

Discounts are applied automatically based on your total rental duration. Rent for 7+ days and you save 10% off the daily rate. Rent for 30+ days and you save 20%. Rent for 3+ months and you save 30% — our best rate. If you initially book for a short period and then decide to extend, we recalculate your total at the discounted rate for the entire duration. For example, if you book a Vision for 5 days and then extend to 14 days, your entire 14-day period is billed at the weekly rate. Simply message us on WhatsApp to extend — no paperwork required.

The Honda Wave 110 is our most affordable option at just 100,000 VND per day (approximately $4 USD). For a full week, it costs 600,000 VND ($24). For a full month, 1,800,000 VND ($72). For three months or longer, just 1,400,000 VND per month ($56). The Wave is a semi-automatic (requires foot-shifting gears) with the lowest fuel consumption of any bike on Phu Quoc at 1.3 liters per 100 km. It is the same bike that local Vietnamese residents ride daily, known for its legendary reliability and virtually zero maintenance costs.

Gasoline on Phu Quoc costs approximately 25,000 VND per liter (about $1 USD) at official gas stations. A full tank varies by model: the Honda Vision holds 4.6 liters (~115,000 VND / $4.60 for a full tank), while the Honda Wave holds 3.7 liters (~92,500 VND / $3.70). Given the outstanding fuel economy of our bikes (1.3-2.1 L/100km), most tourists spend between 50,000 and 150,000 VND ($2-$6) on fuel per week. Gas stations are located throughout Duong Dong town and along the main roads. On the northern and southern tips of the island, stations are less frequent — fill up before heading to remote areas.
