Choosing the right motorbike is the first step to an unforgettable Phu Quoc adventure. Our fleet is divided into two categories: automatic scooters (twist-and-go, no gear shifting, ideal for beginners) and semi-automatic motorbikes (foot-shifted gears, no hand clutch, cheaper and more fuel-efficient). Honda Vision 110

150,000 VND /day (~$6)

The undisputed king of tourist scooters on Phu Quoc — and for good reason. The Honda Vision 110 is the lightest automatic in our fleet at just 97 kilograms, making it incredibly easy for first-time riders to handle, balance, and park. The fully automatic CVT transmission means you simply twist the throttle and go — no gear shifting whatsoever. Fuel economy is exceptional at 1.7 liters per 100 kilometers, meaning one full tank covers over 250 km — enough to circumnavigate the island more than twice. The 18-liter under-seat compartment holds a helmet, water, sunscreen, and essentials. Approximately 60% of all our customers choose the Vision, and it consistently earns five-star reviews for reliability and ease of use.

Honda AirBlade 125

200,000 VND /day (~$8)

For riders who want a step up in power and a bold, sporty aesthetic. The AirBlade 125 delivers noticeably stronger acceleration than the Vision thanks to its 125cc engine, yet achieves even better fuel efficiency at just 1.6 liters per 100 km — the lowest consumption of any 125cc scooter in our fleet. The aggressive angular bodywork turns heads on beach roads, while the 20-liter storage compartment is larger than the Vision for extra convenience. At 112 kg, it is still manageable for most riders. Ideal for solo travelers or couples who enjoy spirited riding along the winding coastal roads between Duong Dong and Ganh Dau.

The wide, cushioned saddle comfortably seats two adults even on longer rides, and the flat footboard provides ample legroom. The 125cc engine handles tandem riding with ease on all Phu Quoc roads, including the gentle inclines near the national park. LED lighting, digital instrumentation, and a sculpted body give it a premium look that matches its premium ride quality. The 28-liter storage compartment is generous, and the idling-stop system improves fuel economy in stop-and-go traffic. Honda SH Mode 125

200,000 VND /day (~$8)

Elegance meets practicality in this European-designed scooter. The SH Mode 125 brings refined styling inspired by Honda's Italian design studio — smooth curves, clean lines, and a sophisticated silhouette that looks at home parked outside a beachfront cafe or a luxury resort. Beneath the elegant exterior is a reliable 125cc engine with 1.9 liters per 100 km consumption, 18 liters of under-seat storage, and one of the quietest rides in the automatic scooter segment. The lower seat height of 759 mm makes it particularly accessible for shorter riders. Yamaha Nouvo 125

120,000 VND /day (~$5)

A legendary semi-automatic that has earned a devoted following across Southeast Asia over two decades. The Yamaha Nouvo 125 requires foot-shifted gear changes (four gears, shifted with your left foot — no hand clutch) but rewards riders with a responsive and engaging throttle feel, proven Yamaha reliability, and excellent fuel economy at 1.8 liters per 100 km. At 108 kg, it sits between the lightest automatics and the heavier premium models. The 12-liter storage compartment is smaller than automatic scooters but sufficient for essentials. Honda Wave 110

100,000 VND /day (~$4)

The undisputed budget champion and the most fuel-efficient motorbike on the entire island of Phu Quoc. At just 100,000 VND per day — roughly $4 USD — the Honda Wave 110 costs less than a single taxi ride from the airport to Duong Dong. Its astonishingly low fuel consumption of only 1.3 liters per 100 kilometers means a full 3.7-liter tank lasts nearly 285 kilometers, and a fill-up costs under 100,000 VND. The Wave is a semi-automatic with four foot-shifted gears and a proven 110cc engine that Honda has refined over twenty years. It is the bike that locals ride daily, that delivery drivers trust with their livelihood, and that long-term travelers and digital nomads rent for months at a time. Spare parts are available at literally every street corner, and any mechanic on the island can fix it in minutes. If your goal is to explore Phu Quoc on the absolute smallest budget without sacrificing reliability, the Wave is your answer.

Automatic vs Semi-automatic: Which Should You Choose?

Understanding the difference is the single most important decision you will make before renting a motorbike on Phu Quoc.

Automatic Scooters (5 models)

How they work: Twist the right handlebar grip and the scooter accelerates. Release it and the scooter slows down. Press the left brake lever for the rear brake, right for the front. That is literally everything you need to know. No gears, no clutch, no foot pedals for shifting — it works exactly like a large electric kick scooter, just with more power.

Best for: First-time riders, casual tourists, couples, families, anyone who prioritizes convenience and ease of use over price savings.

Models: Honda Vision 110 ($6/day), Honda AirBlade 125 ($8/day), Honda Lead 125 ($7/day), Honda PCX 150 ($10/day), Honda SH Mode 125 ($8/day).

View All Automatic Scooters

Semi-automatic Motorbikes (2 models)

How they work: You shift gears using your left foot on a rocker pedal near the footrest — press down to shift up, push forward to shift down. There are four gears plus neutral. Unlike a manual motorcycle, there is no hand clutch lever — the clutch engages automatically when you shift. The learning curve is about 15-20 minutes for someone with zero experience, or instant for anyone who has ridden a motorcycle before.

Best for: Budget-conscious travelers, experienced riders, long-term renters (monthly or longer), anyone who enjoys a more engaged riding feel.

Models: Yamaha Nouvo 125 ($5/day), Honda Wave 110 ($4/day — cheapest on the island).

Common Questions About Our Bikes

The Honda Vision 110 is overwhelmingly the best choice for beginners. It is fully automatic (just twist and go), weighs only 97 kg (the lightest in our fleet), has a low seat height of 770 mm so you can easily touch the ground at stops, and the gentle 110cc engine is forgiving of throttle mistakes. About 60% of all our customers choose it, and we have never had a beginner who could not ride it comfortably within the first five minutes. For an even more affordable beginner option, the Honda Wave 110 at $4/day is excellent — but it is semi-automatic, requiring you to shift gears with your foot.

Automatic scooters (Vision, AirBlade, Lead, PCX, SH Mode) require zero gear shifting — twist the throttle to accelerate, release to slow down. It is as simple as riding a bicycle with a motor. Semi-automatic motorbikes (Nouvo, Wave) have four foot-shifted gears — you press a rocker pedal near your left foot to change gears. There is no hand clutch like on a full manual motorcycle, so the gear changes are mechanical but straightforward. Semi-automatics cost $1-4 less per day and are more fuel-efficient, but require some riding skill. If this is your first time on any motorbike, choose automatic.

For couples, we recommend the Honda Lead 125. It has the widest and most comfortable seat in our fleet, the largest storage compartment at 37 liters (fitting both helmets plus gear), and a 125cc engine that handles two adults effortlessly on all Phu Quoc roads. If you want premium comfort for tandem riding and plan longer distances, the Honda PCX 150 with its 150cc engine provides an even smoother experience — especially for full-day island loops with a passenger.

Yes. Every bike in our fleet is a 2024 or 2025 model year. We follow a strict two-year replacement cycle — once a bike reaches two years of age, it is sold and replaced with a new unit regardless of its mechanical condition. Between customers, every bike undergoes a comprehensive service check: brakes, tire pressure and tread depth, engine oil, spark plugs, electrical systems, lights, horn, and body integrity. Our in-house mechanic also test-rides each bike before delivery. When you receive your GoBike scooter, it will look and feel brand new because it essentially is.

Absolutely. If you discover that your chosen model does not suit you — perhaps you started on a Wave and realize you prefer an automatic, or you rented a Vision solo but your travel partner arrived and now you need a Lead with more storage — simply message us on WhatsApp. We will deliver a replacement bike to your location and collect the original, free of charge. We only adjust the daily rate difference for the remaining rental days. Many of our customers appreciate this flexibility, especially first-time visitors who are not sure what they need until they experience the island's roads firsthand.
