VinWonders Phu Quoc & Vinpearl Safari by Motorbike

By Alex Nguyen · Updated July 2026 · 6 min read

The northern tip of Phu Quoc is home to two headline attractions — VinWonders theme park and Vinpearl Safari — and riding there by motorbike puts you in full control of your day. From Duong Dong the drive takes roughly 25–30 minutes along smooth, well-signed roads, making it one of the most rewarding day-trip routes on the island.

Getting There: Route from Duong Dong to VinWonders

The most straightforward route follows Tran Hung Dao northward from the centre of Duong Dong, then turns onto Nguyen Trai heading toward Bai Dai. Follow the VinWonders signs at every major junction — the resort complex is hard to miss once you are on Bai Dai road. The total distance is around 20 km, with the last few kilometres running along a wide resort avenue lined with palms.

The road surface is excellent for most of the route. A Honda PCX, Airblade, or Vision handles it effortlessly, and even a Wave semi-automatic copes with zero difficulty. If you prefer the scenic coastal stretch, ride north along the western shore through Cua Can — it adds only a few kilometres and rewards you with mangrove views.

Parking at the VinWonders and Safari Complex

The VinWonders complex has a dedicated motorbike parking area near the main entrance gate. It is covered, guarded, and inexpensive; collect your ticket at the barrier and keep it safe. Spaces fill up on weekends and national holidays, so arriving before 10 am is advisable.

Vinpearl Safari sits a short ride further north inside the same resort zone. It has its own separate motorbike parking lot at its entrance. If you plan to visit both parks in one day, it makes sense to park centrally at VinWonders, enjoy the park, then ride the short internal road to Safari rather than moving the bike twice.

What VinWonders Phu Quoc Offers

VinWonders Phu Quoc is Vietnam's largest theme park by area, spread across the northern headland of the island with direct views of the Gulf of Thailand. The complex includes a water park, an amusement zone with rides for all ages, live performance venues, and a dedicated children's area. The water slides and wave pool are the most popular draw during the hot season.

Several zones are indoor and air-conditioned, which matters on Phu Quoc between March and May. Plan at least four to five hours to cover the main highlights without rushing. Families with young children typically spend a full day here.

Ticket prices and opening hours change seasonally — check the current information at the gate or on the official VinWonders website before visiting, as rates vary by age, height, and promotional period.

Vinpearl Safari: Africa Comes to Phu Quoc

Vinpearl Safari, located a few minutes north of VinWonders, is Vietnam's first open-range wildlife park. Visitors board a tram that drives through savannah-style enclosures where giraffes, zebras, white rhinos, and over 150 other species roam freely. The walking zone includes a primate forest, reptile house, and a petting area popular with families.

Allow two to three hours minimum for Safari. The tram circuit alone takes around 45 minutes. Morning sessions are cooler and animals tend to be more active; the park is at its busiest between 10 am and 2 pm. Again, verify current opening times locally before the trip.

Vinpearl Safari holds around 3,000 animals representing more than 150 species across its open-range enclosures on northern Phu Quoc — making it the most biodiverse wildlife attraction in Southeast Asia.

Combining VinWonders, Safari, and Grand World

Grand World Phu Quoc, the resort's entertainment and retail precinct, sits just south of VinWonders along the same road. Its European-themed canal district, street food lanes, and evening light shows attract visitors in the late afternoon and after dark. Riding between all three zones takes under ten minutes each way, so combining them in a single day is entirely realistic.

A practical itinerary: arrive at Vinpearl Safari when it opens to catch active animals in the cool morning air, then head to VinWonders for the water park and rides through the middle of the day, and finish the evening at Grand World for dinner and the canal-side light show. Keep your riding safety in mind — the return to Duong Dong after dark on Bai Dai road is well-lit but requires attention.

If you have only half a day, choose one park and save the other for a second trip. The island routes guide suggests pairing a Safari morning with an afternoon at Bai Dai beach, just a short ride south.
